End Notes
Thank you so much for reaching the end of this site and for exploring my journey of learning! I hope that this site has given readers a clear insight into my growth over my time in the NLGL program, both as a reflective teacher and a teacher leader in my school who aims to enact change in making our middle school students more engaged readers, writers, and thinkers.
Common Core Connections
Reading, writing, and speaking are at the heart of the Common Core Essential Standards in middle school. ELA teachers who intentionally plan and execute systems and methods to engage students in these three things are better preparing students to be college and career ready and meet the high demands of the Standards.
Reading Standards
